Just finished Stephen King's
The Colorado Kid which he did the retro paperback publisher,
Hard Case Crime. It's had some puzzled comments, but I liked it. In it King shows every kinds of tricks with which you can keep suspense up - and it sure does! I admired the way he gave every new bit of evidence and deduction just in passing.
In the end book turns out to be a meditation on how to tell a story. It's not a novel, it's a lesson.
