By today's standards these magazines are very "softcore" so a modern porn connoisseur who is used to the hardcore stuff magazines, DVDs, hotelroom cable channels and Internet sites offer these days would probably be disappointed by the relatively "tame" content of these. Therefore the actual key point here is just nostalgia for yesteryear's sleaze, and perhaps even a sort of (sub)cultural archeology for those areas not usually acknowledged in the "official" writing of history...
