Eartha Kitt gone, too
In case someone didn't notice, singer Eartha Kitt died recently. Ted White has written this almost ten years ago, but it still works as a good introduction - and as an obit.
If one seeks trios of deaths, one doesn't have to stretch too far to link Kitt thus to the even more politically active singers Miriam Makeba and Odetta.
