I spent the last week of our mutual holiday polishing the manuscript of The Dostoyevsky Reel to be able to send it to a crime novel contest, which I thought was due next Tuesday. Now that I got it finished and was ready to print it out, I checked the publisher's website to see whether there were any rules about lines and such and noticed that it wasn't due till 31st of August! AAARGH!
But, hey, now it's done and at least I wasn't late. Better early than never or something like that.
